Blackamoor Automaton

This automation was used by the maxwell House coffee company as a window display to promote the coffee brand. There are only two in existence. This one displayed for sale, we acquired from a private party years ago. The other one was used as a back drop of the famous television series called "Fantasy Island" in one of the episodes the Blackamoor was sitting in Mr Orourke's office behind his desk. This blackamoor automation is almost hundred years old and in need of restoration. The electric motor works on USA voltage. All moving parts needs to be adjusted. its head moves side to side its eye brows move and the eye balls move the coffee cup moves and the coffee can moves, the lips needs adjusting. I believe the Blackamoor may originate in Germany, the label on the gear mechanism had German writing on it,translation, "oil level check regularly" If any one has knowledge about this Blackamoor this would be very helpful. I believe the Gear mechanism would better determine its age and origin.
